I'm looking at building a go fast car but not sure where I could actually run it... safely.

If we had access to a drag strip with about 2300 feet of straight line asphalt:
  • Would that be enough space?
  • Is that surface any good? I know the launch area is covered and caked in rubber but down range should be pretty flat and smooth.
  • We would need to rent it, so how much is it worth per person/how many people would it draw?
  • How much time would we need? - What's a reasonable amount of time, this might depend on the number of people.
