Noise under braking

Maybe try the integy CF disks. My buddy ran those with the stock servo and it would still almost lock up. He was using them with the fiber pads from the LST2 though. Even though, running two disks sandwiched between 3 steel pads will give you less aggressive brakes, but shouldn't bind and lock up like steel on steel. Also shouldn't need a killer servo like my single disk setup. I'm contemplating pickup up those integy's and giving them a try. If I do, I'll let you know how it goes.

i have used CF brakes and they faded badly after that i went with the stock setting steel discs and white pads my epa settings to full and they have lasted me 1 year or hard drag racing they just quit on me last night as binding issues with them i really didnt had none or build ups aslong as you have your linkage set up correctly ill post pics of the wear later today.

Where's the pics? J/k... I've got a brand new LST-2 and have been trying to figure out the brakes, I broke/lost the middle pad on my 4th tank of gas, replaced the pads, and now it doesn't seem to brake hard at all, what's really odd is when I let off the throttle, it starts to brake, you'd think that if they are already grabbing when I actually hit the brakes you think it would almost want to stop instantly... I think I just need to do some more adjustments at the servo to get it right...Would the rule of thumb be that when it's coasting it should not be dragging on the brakes at all? but as soon as you start to apply the brakes it should start grabbing? I just want to know if it should have any drag on it when off the gas and just coasting.

No, they should not drag. One thing about the LST series of trucks: It's all or nothing with the brakes. I have gotten used to it and don't hit 'em too hard but others find they lock up all the time. Did you go back with stock pads?

Thanks, I adjusted the brakes last night... what a difference... now it coasts like it should, and when I hit the brakes it stops! I'm still with stock pads, I was in a bind and the LHS only had stock pads..If/when these break I'll upgrade to C.F.
