i run my truck today and i just put the new spur in yesterday. i am pretty sure i did it right. but the motor revs really high while moving. what is it? thanks guys.

is the new spur gear smaller?

Sounds like you need to tighten your slipper nut down further. You didn't get any oil on the slipper pegs did you? You put the slipper pegs back in the new spur too right?

If no oil and the pegs are in, tighten the nut holding the spur on until the spring is fully compressed, then back it of 1/2 turn and you should be good to go.

i did. i dont know if my clutch could be slippin or not. but it takes off fine shifts fine and everything. it just makes a wierd noise! oh and i didnt get any oil on the gear and i lined the pegs up. thanks for the replys

You might just have your mesh too tight or something then. It will make a nasty whine if you get it too tight.
