After installing the rrp spur gear, I seem to have lost second gear. I tried adjusting the shift point screw inside the tranny to no end and still no second. I too the tranny a part, did the FOC and that works (although I miss the idler gear) and still no second. I checked all the gears and they all seem fine. I was wondering if the slipper has any effect on this. What about the clutch?

Is your slipper slipping to much? Try cranking it down so it doesn't slip just to see if it's starts shifting. The RRP steel spur will chew up some momentum since it's so much heavier than the stock plastic. I didn't have a problem with it, but I was also running a 21 converted maxx.

Did you take the shifting portion apart and clean it? Maybe you have a piece of sand or a piece of plastic jamming it up?

I was worried it was too tight due to me filling in all the holes.

Don't know man. Sounds like you got the shifting point all out of wack though. I just did the same thing to mine a week ago. Took me the better part of an hour with a small allen and lots of patience to get it to shift right.

First, you may want to tear it apart (the trans), and pull out the two speed set screw to re-locktight it. Put it in, and put it flush with the threads that it screws into. I did that with mine, and it was almost on. Only took about 1/4 turn in to get it good. Sitting flush, it would shift way early, but it wasn't shifting at all when I started.
