So i was out side just now and my truck is not responding to gas, brake, or steering. their is snow nut i have two baloon's over the batteires and on baloon over the recever. Both batteries in the remot and the truck i have replace and still no responce? Any idea's on whats wrong and how to fix it?

Make sure its turned on........ make sure your crystals are in place.

From there....... you gonna have to check for power getting to your receiver from the battery. (need a volt meter)

To clarify NOTHING works correct?

ya i just did every thing you said and still not working cause their is power but I'm afraid that cause i was driving it in snow and it only has on baloon over the recever that it may be shot do to water what do you think?

so i just took it apart and their was a hole in the baloon and the whole black recever is all wet and their is no response but you can tell their is power. i think its fried what do you guys think

Yeah it's most likely fried. You can't beat mother nature, stuff is going to get ruined in rain or snow.

Yup you most likely fried the electronics. Now...pull it all out. Let it sit for a few days to dry out and try again.

Take it apart....... blow dry it (compressed air, hair dryer, whatever ya got) spray it with wd-40 and blow it off again.

I have saved rc airplanes that have made unfortunate water landings with this method. Also cell phones that took a dip in the cooler, digital cameras in the lake, blue tooth in the toilet....

I am about to "waterproof" my tmaxx....... I am not going to bother w balloons, gonna use rtv silicone on the battery and radio box. As well as all the servo's. And 0-rings around the servo horns.

can you send me pics when your done so i can see how it looks so i can do mine the same way that way i know i wont have this problem again?

I've ran my truck in the snow a couple times, and I just can't stand seeing my $600+ toy get COMPLETELY covered in frozen water for more than a tank or two..Really makes me nervous.

Don't know why really...I can afford to replace anything I ruin, It just bugs me.

i took a chance and waterproofed my t maxx. the only thing that went wrong was i fried my failsafe. did u have zip ties on the ends of the balloons or were they just open? i double ballooned everything and double zip tied my batteries and receiver and steering servo
