i have a 2.5 revo that has a good tune. i went out for a good bashing and after the 3rd tank it was acting like it was stuck in 2nd gear. when i came home i checked the trans and its fine. i ran it again and after it was warmed up good it was shifting fine and then bogged down all of the sudden. i live on a hill so i ran the truck down it and it shifted into 2nd. so is the bogging my clutch maybe being smoked? theres nothing binding and it rolls freely. thanks guys.

It's overheating the engine, richen it up if you are doing a lot of speed runs. Check that the drivetrain is moving freely. A bad bearing somewhere could be the culprit.
Revo's need to shift into second quickly. Both the revo's I owned I had to adjust the trans to shift earlier, so I could get a proper tune on the engine. Don't rely on leaning the HSN for performance and making the car shift. You probably distorted the glow plug, replace it and retune.

My temps are around 240. I'm still such a newbie at tuning. I only run my rigs about twice a month. I will fatten it up some and make it shift sooner and see what happens.

240 is kinda low for a TRX mill, but your lsn could be masking the overly lean HSN setting..

we scrogg you were right on the money with me over heating it. my temp gun was way off. i dropped it awhile back and borrowed a friends and it was about 60 off. and when i reassembled the engine i didn't install the head gasket so it was leaking. hopefully it will be ok we will see after vacation.

i had this problem and it turned out to be the little rubber bit that the header pipe goes over on the back of the engine. it had a big hole in it and it was leaking up there.
