I've been working on my duratrax nitro evader and I've found that the gas tank has been leaking, but thats not the main problem. today while running it the car stopped responding to the controller, but then it started working fine again. five minutes later it just stopped responding totally. there is now no light on my failsafe and the car doesn't respond at all. could something have shorted out due to fuel getting on it? please help i dont know what to do.

p.s. its not the batterys

id go over all the wires and make sure nothing is disconnected/shorted

+1 to evojoe's comment. pretty much a follow on, make sure the arial wire is still connected to the servo, why? because at times ur car might be close enough to pick up a signal without a cord extension due to the arial on ur remote but at other times it will not be close enough to pick up the signal

ge i dont want to sound like a broken record, but, are you near a broadcast tower, radar? military radar covers ALL frequencys, for jamming, jamming means blowing out your final drives of your transmitter.

You have a loss of power somewhere between the battery pack and the receiver. If your failsafe doesn't lite it's because it's not getting power. Are you using a 5 cell hump pack or the 4AA holder that came stock? Check the connections, check the switch, and if it's the 4AA holder, check for breaks.
