I'm New With RC Cars But I Got A Good Deal On The 2 I Have. But My Revo 3.3 Ran Fine For About 20mins And Then I Lost Braking From The Remote. About 5mins After That I Lost The Throttle Also. Can Anybody Give Me Simple Instructions On Whats Going On? I Dont Know Much About Them At All. Thanks In Advance.

First thing I would check is the reciever batteries. Brakes take more power than throttle, so mabye the battery was only a little low, then, as it got weaker the throttle went. I would change or charge the rx batteries.

With the engine off, see if the throttle/brake responds. Also do it with the steering, with the front wheels off the ground. If steering works, check the connections to the T/B servo. If you hear any clicking in the servo, it's likely you have a stripped gear and need to replace.
The next check is to switch the connections in the receiver and see if the steering will move the throttle/brake and vice versa. It's a matter of elimination.
Keep us posted on what you find.

yes the steering still works. with the engine off nothing happens with the throttle or the brakes. no noises at all when i try the throttle and brake. Brand new batteries in the remote and charged the receiver. Which is the t/b servo?

T/B (Throttle/Brake)

With the T/B servo plugged into the steering connection of the receiver, does it move by turning the wheel on your radio?

The cause of your problem is probly the throttle return spring being to stiff. Common problem with all revo's. It puts more stress on our servos making there life shorter and the stock ones go fast i think i went though 4 or 5 before i went to an after market servo. This may be the cause. There are also other things that may be the problem but just my 2 cents

Thanks for all the feed back. I'm waiting on my new servo and I'll see if that does the trick. This is great information for us all.

thanks for all the help.....I'm back in business....lol now i have another question....doesn't seem like i have a lot of power off the the start and seems to be going through a tank pretty fast. any suggestions...thanks in advance.

oh and it was the T/B servo....

I noticed that almost as soon as I started the truck for the first time. The throttle servo was twitching like mad. I switched it with the reverse servo (which was fine) and changed the spring out for one from a ball point pen. Haven't had a problem yet.

LSN=Low Speed Needle. This adjusts the fuel/air ratio at idle-1/2 throttle. Adjust this needle after the HSN to get a good take off from idle. If your LSN is too lean you'll have a high idle and high temps.

HSN=High Speed Needle. This adjusts the fuel/air ratio at 1/2 to full throttle. Adjust this needle first until you get good throttle response at full throttle. Adjust this leaner in warmer ambient (air) temps and richer when it's colder.

Sorry, LSN=Low Speed Needle, HSN=High Speed Needle.

On the LSN, just lean it about 1/8 of a turn till you get a good punch off the line. Use caution, and don't over lean. It will perform better, but will also overheat rapidly. Keep an eye on the temp.
