Just picked up a bottle of this stuff, figured I'd try it out but how many drops per tank?? I'd rather do it per tank than dumping it into a full gallon

I've heard bad stuff about it. Think about it. Is it really worth fooling around with the fuel system to make it smell pretty? Come on... Go pick some flowers...

A few ppl iv herd says it dosent mess with anything. I'm gona try it tomorow. I know at the indoor track in the winter, everyone uses it. Can't believe sum of u never herd of it!

I used to use it in every tank. I just added like 4 drops to my fill bottle........ it never effected anything with running at all. I used rootbeer and cherry.....

4 drops per tank u mean? I'm running it in my savage.

but my question is why? i mean, does it smell that bad? its been a while for me. havent run nitro in almost 2 years. but i just dont remember it being that bad. its kinda like using scented toilot paper on your ass

Your going to scent your fuel?!?! That's near being sacrilegious to the sport of Nitro's. Heck, the smell of my Savy starting up for the first time during the day, the pungent smell of freshly burnt Nitro fuel wafting up my nose....*shivers*........FYI....I'm NOT addicted! *twitch* *twitch*

HOLY....I'm just tryin the stuff out. Dident know tryin new stuff and tryin to get info would be soo wrong

You asked for opinions, you got them, now you are upset that they are not the opinion you were looking to hear?

I would NOT use it. Why would you want to add anything to the fuel that is not going to improve the performance? To make it smell pretty? Companies spend a lot of money on r&d to make good performing fuels, I think if they felt making it smell purdy would help the performance they would add it.

No way will any scent additive find it's way in to my fuel.

Actually rolex, some of the fuels are already scented upon purchase.

I see your point, but sometimes some people NEED to make it smell different because of the area they run in. I have no choice but to use it because i run near to where i live and most, if not all, of the people hate the smell of straight nitro.

on the other hand, if it does nothing for performance, i see no point in it myself.

For me, its a classic catch 22, i dont want to use it, its an added expense that i do not need or want, but i am bound to the use of it to keep the neighbours off my back.

My overall opinion is if it offers no performance gain then there is no point in wasting money on it.

if you want to try it just try it dude. A lot of ppl have used it and it hasn't done anything bad so just do it if you want. I like the smell of nitro myself but I could deff see if you were indoors to use it even though it's still not good for you to breath in even if it does smell like bubble gum...

Having re-read this thread again, i agree qaart, that IS true, Alpine would not B.S the guy.

As an aside: Opinions are all well and good, but experience of a product will allow the user to make a more informed choice. Then, it is down to personal prefference of wether to use the product or not.
