I acquired a new nitro rustler 2.5 in the box for cheap. Looking for advice on upgrades. Also I know that some Traxxas parts are interchangeable with the nitro. Just don’t know witch ones. Been out of the nitro game for a while also, so any advice on that to would help alot

Give the engine & tank a cleaning ,make sure you note down any changes you make to the carb. settings ,an
also make sure everything is tight ,sealed ,including the head bolts!

pretty much as much RPM as you can, think the hub carriers/a-arms etc are interchangeable if i remember correctly. id look at the parts on yours and comparer. i do have an electric version, if you want to take a few pics of the parts in question i could as well so you can compare. i know on the electric the rear hub carriers use bushings not bearings, should check that out to confirm. RPM carriers do use bushings. RPM bumper would be a good thing. those have the EZ start correct? id ditch that and get a pull start and a glow driver. EZ Starts are pretty heavy and after some use get to be unreliable.

Even if it’s brand new you have to do that?? Never had a new nitro before. Always bought used and it’s been a long time. Looking up how to break in a motor right now

I think parts from a nitro slash and stampede are interchangeable with the rustler. Trying to google to find out but if anyone knows please share
