Hi, I have a nitro rustler that I picked up of eBay. I have 2 bodies for it. 1 is a proline crowd pleazer body I use for bashing. The other is an HPI 68 camaro body I use for driving on pavement.

It had a O. S. .15 engine when I got it. I upgraded to a TRX 2.5 engine. It can be started 2 different ways either with a starter box or an ez starter. The ez start is also something I added. I use the starter box when I am tuning it and the ez starter when I take it out to drive it.

My problem is after I start it it does not want to move. If I have it sitting on the starter box and give it has it will turn the tires, but as soon as it touches the ground it will not move. I have checked the gears in the rearend and they seem to be fine. They fit together good with no wear. I also checked the planet gears and I found the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might wanna check the clutches could be worn or not installed right.

I agree, check your clutches, BTW I would put the os back on, IMO you are not upgrading going to the 2.5 JMO. Also check the stub axles, I had one of mine give out. The plastic yoke was spinning on the metal shaft!

Both are .15 motors, the os will be a better quality motor, and if tuned right it should run much better than the traxxas 2.5.
