Hi Michal! Welcome to RCTALK.COM!
You can add headlights to your pet goldfish these days!
I don't think adding to the Revo will be too much work.
Do you have any lights picked out yet that you like?
Could you post a link?
Also, what radio system do you have?
Do you have any open channels on your receiver?
Wiring the lights through a switch, either mechanical or by remote can be done.
You can also just hardwire the lights to the receiver pack harness directly.
Do you have a soldering iron?

Hey the radio system is the tqi from traxxas with the reverse switch its the 3 channel one and I haven’t picked out any lights and I do have a soldering iron but also is it possible that you could show me a charger for the rx pack because I can’t find one and the one I got from traxxas don’t charge my battery fully

ok. A couple things then...
First, I'm retty positive that with an open channel on your radio, you can add a remote switch.
I'm not familiar with your radio specificly. Hoping someone can jump in if they have added to a tqi system?

The other option is cheaper but might be a bit tougher to install. It would involve soldering up a harness and switch to your battery. No remote involved.

What battery do you have and how old is it?
Why do you think its not charging?

The battery is brand new I think it’s the charger because it charges my bigger battery to full but not my Rx pack and also I have open spots on my receiver the battery is the traxxas Rx power pack 6v 1200mah

Ok. What charger do you have for the bigger battery?
Is it a smart charger with adjustments?

Those are the same types of packs I used.
I just plugged mine in and adjusted a setting, pressed charge.
Not much help here I'm afraid.
My charger and batteries are 10 years old now! 🤣

Do you own other r/c's?
What types of batteries are they running?
What other batteries are you charging?

I'm thinking a good, flexible battery charger might solve a few problems at once in this case.

Again, for this case I'd like to refer you to the smartest R/C battery guy on the site.

@Greywolf74

The best charger for lipo is the Hota 6

I am pretty sure it will handle your nicads also but I do not own one (yet) and am not sure 100%.

I am also not sure if there is a lower cost unit that will serve your needs if you ONLY charge Nicads.

Dealing with the battery power is #1.

2nd comes leds and other things to plug in. 😉👍🏻

I’m using the stock traxxas charger that’s charging my starter battery I have everything stock except for the throttle servo and I was meant to use the charger to charge my little battery but for some reason it won’t charge it to full it would charge and then say it’s full after 7 minutes or so

Is there a model # on the charger? Maybe I can look it up and see if there is an easy answer. Traxxas gear is very user friendly if nothing else!!!

Sure the model is 2977 and battery also is 3036

Ok. I looked this charger up and I know nothing at all about it.
I can try to help.
Are you getting fault codes? What lights are flashing etc???
You replaced the throttle servo?
What servo did you replace it with?

The servo is a power hd the name hd-1812MG and I don’t have any fault codes on the charger my stock traxxas servo got burned and the hobby shop told me this one is better

Ok. No fault codes but you think the battery isn't charged. How did you determine this?
If the charger is charging one type battery but not the other, there is a problem.
Has the new battery ever worked?
Double check your connections to maake sure they are clean and tight.
Has the car ever worked with the curent radio set up?
Do you have a volt meter?

I do have a volt meter that tells me how much power there’s running when I charge it it says there’s 6v going though but then 5 minutes later it says that there’s like 4 or 3 volts and the new battery works because I need to unplug and plug it back in for it to charge to full

You charge the battery and it the charger says the charge has completed?
No warning?
The battery says 6v on meter after you charge. Correct?
When does it say 4 or 3 volts?
Does it just drop after you unplug it?
Dors it drop quickly while the car is in use?
I'm trying to help but i'm finding more questions than answers here.
Have you checked the voltage output of the charger while its charging?
I'm not following why the battery must be good because you have to lug it back in.

Yes the charger says that the battery is full and yes it says the battery is 6v after charging it after using it for like 4-5 minutes then it drops and I have not checked the out put of the charger the battery has to be good because the hobby shop charged to full for me when I got it back and it lasted me a hour

Is thete anything else that has or has not been tested as good or not?
If you know the battery is good and you have a hobby shop that has already charged, the charger must be the issue.
Ppl here vuy the Hota 6 charger.
I have not bought one nor have I charged a nicad battery in about 10 years.
I'm sure other ppl on the site or your hobby shop can fill you in on what charger is best for you.
You should ask them about the switch for your Leds too. They may have one on the shelf.
