Hi, i have a nitro on-road car about 3 weeks old and I'm having heaps of problems with it.

The biggest right now is the carby.

When i accelerate full, the carb slide pulls almost right out, comes out more then the boot. And when i brake it closes altogeather, dying.

So when i brake the car dies completely, and when i fully accelerate, the carby slide comes out real far, and it never used to!

any ideas?

Thanks!!

Sounds like you may have lost your idle adjustment screw. They usually serve two purposes, one is to adjust idle (duh), the other is to keep the carb barrel inside the carb where it belongs.

If not lost, could be loose or the end snapped off.

yea thats exaclty what it was, theres a groove in the slide. The idle screw screws into the groove in the slide and stops it from turning and coming in and out too far.

I'm just glad it not broken lol

Thanks for you help! AGAIN!!

Glad to hear it.

I've had one snap off on me before. I have no idea how/why, but all the sudden my rig started running like crap. The slop in the linkage allowed the barrel to twist which made it cover up half the hole that air gets sucked through. Just glad the little bit that broke off didn't find it's way inside the engine. Nothing like a $2 screw to destroy a $200 engine. :)
