Nitro late model 1/8

I believe I've decided on my winter project, but I need some help from you guys. A friend and I are teaming up to build a late model nitro 1/8 racer. Problem is.......I don't know where to begin. I'm accomplished in your average basher nitro works, but pure breed racing will be new. Any help from chassis on will be greatly appreciated. It's going to be a partnership so expense will be split, but we still can't afford a platinum rocket ship! Lol. Thanks guys!

There's a few companies that make nitro chassis, custom works, ofna, and BMS are a few. You can also look into converting something that's likely to have better parts availability also.
