hey i have just bought a kyosho nitro car with a gx .12 engine in ( note i got the car second hand) wen i put the acceleration on the engine revs up but the car does not move then when i like give the car a shunt ther will be a noise like something catching then it moves and it will go for a little bit then stop . i looked at the gear and ther seems to be contact between the engine and drive anyone no what this could be.

and also i dont think the cars engine is not tuned properly as when the car does move it seems to leave wet marks from the exhaust .

also the front right drive shaft keeps popping out of place wen i turn ???

any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like the clutch being glazed is the culprit of not wanting to move. You can remove the clutch bell and use some sandpaper to rough up the inner surface where the shoes engage.

Nitro fuel has oil in it and that could the wet spot you are talking about.

thanks il try that also i have relised that when i rev the car the engine is engaging the large cog but even at high revs the cog is spinning but the car is stilll movin at a slow speed

I had the same issue with the same engine, what i found was the engine was not lined up properly with the spur gear i moved the engine slightly and it runs ok now.Might be worth a try
