Man you pushed one of my pet peeve buttons! I despise hobby shops. I don't buy anything from hobby shops unless there is absolutely no other choice. I don't even buy paint from them.

I used to be one of these guys that would "support my LHS" thinking I was doing a good thing for the hobby. When that strategy damned near put me in the poor house I wised up. All four of my LHSs are certified rip off artists. Theres one here in Manhattan were I work where the help acts like your patronage is a big inconvenience to them.

I now buy all my RC stuff online and I get all my odds and ends at Home Depot. There are also lots of websites that sell every kind of screw and bolt imaginable SUPER CHEAP.

I'm done,

EB

same thing happened to me. I have a real bad taste in my mouth from lhs's, maybe it's because I don't brush my teeth.

I have a 4tec 2.5 rustler 2.5 and maxx 2.5. NEVER had a problem.I have been able to run 10 tanks right after one another with no issues.
You either have a bad motor or need to work on the tuning a bit

I have a nitro 4tec also. Mine also has problems staying tuned but when I can get it tuned in and keep it tuned it, it runs decent. Decent meaning ok, not as it should but it runs. Maybe me and you should post em both on Ebay together and see if we could some of our money back..lol Mine does alot of sitting on a shelf basically because I live on a gravel road, and just because I dont feel like having to mess with it for 20 mins to get it started when I can just crank up the Tmaxx and be ripping within minutes

At my LHS I have to order my plane fuel. Its a joke

Well, I never thought I would see this thread again! lol

Read the dates my fellow members! I got rid of that POS over a year ago and will never get another traxass product again! , for me it was just a mill, , nothing special about it at all! I am glad to have learned from it though! now I know what not to get and my tuning skills are working just fine with all my new mills!, none of which are traxxass!

Traxxas wasn't the problem, just that car. I still have my 4tec Nitro, and I have a Tmaxx that I love. I would get rid of the 4tec without no remorse but not my Maxx

ti don't have a nitro 4-tec, but in my nitro rustler my 2.5 runs awesome. tons of power, starts everytime after i prime it. tune it a little everytime for a minute, and then i'm ready to go for the rest of the day
