RC Driving Style
This is one of the greatest bands in my book. Who agrees with me? It just sucks that the lead singer " Kurt Cobain" had to kill himself. ahh, but my favorite songs are 1. In Bloom, 2. Lithium, 3. Smells like teen spirit, and 4. Come as you are.

I've got favorites but i couldnt put them in order even if i tried. just off the top of my head: lake of fire, heart shaped box, lithium, all apologies.....
 
I like smeels like teen spirit too. What had caused this huge uproar of Nirvana stuff just like all of a sudden all of the nirvana songs started being brodcated over the radio and everones doin reports TV shows everything what caused it all?
 
I love Nirvana....what's not to love. I have lots of faves. Their influnce in music today is unbelieveable. If it wasn't for NIrvana we'd probably only have Rap crap, Country and Hair band rock to listen to..hehe.


To bad his last Ballad was Splat....what a waste of life. Then again, if I was married to Courtney Love I might wack myself too. RIP DUDE
 
man i love Nirvana,This whole week the only radio station I listen to(94WYSP) except for 93.3WMMR has been playing a different cd of the radio each day of the week.

Man I am kind of afraid to say this but, Nirvana sucks. Now dont go trying to gang up on me and kick my ass, because you wouldnt be able to do it, lol. Love talking sh!t. I do like All Apoligies, but thats it. What was he thinking, Courtney Love. UGGGHHHHHHHHH, she looks like damn it.
 
About the best & only thing to come out of Nirvana, is Dave Grohl.... Of course, just my opinion..
 
They were cool no doubt and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, What a killer guy. Curt Cobain was a talented dude and I miss him but his effect on the music industry wasn't that great. He was just the first to put Grunge out there. If not him, someone else would have been the poster boy.

Dream Theater.
 
Damn glad to hear some of the younger folk can appreciate Nirvana I can remember when smells like teen spirit was all the rage in my senior year of high school that was back in 92-93
 
92-93?? I was working like a dog and getting over a bad relationship at the ripe ole age of 27-28. You still a young squirt.
Love the hard rock though.
 
The first album was definately great. The second one was good, but the dude lost it on the third.

Summing up the last album: Disturbing.

Does anyone know what Penny Royal Tea is, and what it's used for? I'll ship a cookie to the first person that knows, and has the balls to post it. hell, I'll second day air it to boot.

The video of (I think) Heart Shaped Box killed it for me. Kurt fondling the drummer. Just a little too strange for me. (and for future referance, Box is a g*y term for the poop chute)

All in all, you can see the downward heroin spiral that was going on.
 
Don't much care what anyone says good band back in the day. Yes the downward heroin spiral was apparent on the Album In Utero. Hell Kurt dressed up in lingirie on the cd cover. Penny royal tea damn it I used to know what that was. If I had a guess right now I'd say the good ol pee pee.
 
It is an herbal remedy used for tummy aliments and also abortions. Do I win the prize?

Also was a part of a short story by Mildred Haun, Melungeon- colored.

Oh and by the way was also refered to in the novels Clan of the cave bear and Battlefield Earth

I listened to the third album alot, and many bad things happened during that part of my life. Coupled with the lyrics and all that, I can't listen to that album anymore. IMO, Marylin Manson was a much better shock rocker tht Kurt would ever have been, and I think that's what pushed him over the edge.

Great, yes. tragic, definately. Predictable, was there any question?
 
Sorry guys. I was working in a record store when Nirvana took off. And frankly, I still don't get it. Never liked them. Never will. I always thought Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were MUCH better...
 
Actually Candyman those two bands were good as well. I own a sound garden album as well as pearl Jam. Hmm think I am dating myself when I say things like that. OH well those were good stuff too.
 
Pearl jam is okay, but i dont like much of soundgarden. I'm only 14 but i know my stuff. Yeah Cobain was pretty dumb for goin with Courtney Love, but can u see why he did? I'm not gonna go into that subject lol. All i got to say is Nirvana is definatly one of my all time favorite bands. Now we got all this rap out and stuff... Some of it is okay, i mean but when there freestylin and sayin yo yo yo yo x50 it gets annoying lol. lataz :sleeping:
 
I've only heard a couple of their albums as a whole, and all the hit songs, but the Unplugged album is probably my favorite.

Yeah, I hate Courtney Love. Anyone see her on Howard Stern's show? She's so filthy. I remember seeing her in The Truman Show and was like wow, she actually looks nice and not like a total trailor trash crack head. Then the next time I saw her was on Stern... trailor trash crack head.
