Hi,
I've just bought a savage ss, and I've fitted it with a Ni-MH hump pack. The problemI've got is that the servos I've bought say that they are only suitable for Ni-CD batteries. the servos are one futaba s3010 and one futaba s3003. I don't want to replace the battery as finding anything to fit that pesky reciver box was really difficult. I just want to know if the servos are going to go up in smoke when I plug the battery in. If yes, then can I have some advice on what to use as replacements? Cheers guys.

You should be fine with the 6V nimh pack, most guys around here run with it with no problems. You will see quite a difference in power and run time with the new pack versus the 4 AA holder.

I think it just says that because they don't want you using alkilines.

I run a futaba S3305 with NiMH packs and it's been fine for over a year... in my savage. I use it for throttle/brake.
