I went to a hobby shop to buy for a NIMH battery and charger but I also saw LI-PO Batteries that had almost twice as much Mah than NIMH, but I was told that I'll burn up the electronics if I don't have brushless, is that true?

No that is not true. You might burn up the battery if your ESC doesn't have a LiPo cut-off.

How Can I tell if my ESC has a LiPo cut-off?
...besides testing it with a battery.

Maybe I'll just make it brushless I just found a really cheap HPI motor on ebay,
It's a Savage flux 2350 motor I know but physically, will it fit with the mini Trophy?

i believe that it can. the mini trophy comes stock with a 540 motor......... same as the HPI Flux Warp motor........

Thanks, I won it Brand New for around $50 , do you think it was a good deal.

I'm a big castle creations fan, such as the monster mamba, but mainly something that is 4s and 6s lipo compatable.
