If you convert it to electric, I'm your guy for questions. I've owned over 4 Revo 3.3 and 2.5s and converted them all to brushless.
cool 😎! yeah that's my plan while using the existing trans. thanks

Yeah, I also used the stock trans. All you gotta do is lock the first and second gears together. I would also recommend the forward only conversion.
That's amazing, you know, a few months ago I had questions on the brushless revo build and your build on the revo trans. popped up and that's what brought me to this rc off-road paradise! so thanks again, you all are the best!! !!

Alright, the brushless is hooked up and i took little Pete for a run, a short run with no steering, it did pull the front tires easily that's great fun, hopefully the other parts show tomorrow.

Well, I thought I had the right steering servo arm for Pete but no, I just made do with what I had as usual, so please don't laugh it does work, I'm just waiting for the body posts then it'll be outside ready to rip, thankyou for watching. 😁

Steering bell crank conversion is something I've wondered about doing to my stampede too, wash thinking about make a servo mount that hangs the servo off the side of the chassis next to the battery. You should check out traxxas part 5837, its the front chassis brace skid on the 2wd slash and it has supports for the bell cranks, also 6845X are the stock slash 4x4 bell cranks that are a good upgrade for the 2wd line of cars.

Cool, I'll check that out, right now I'm making a wheelie bar, wishful thinkin' huh 😳

I know its version 1... just as a thought, wheelie bars traditionally use tiny wheels or sometimes no wheel at all. The idea being, a wheelie bar is about traction and leverage against launch forces and not about steering back there.
I am afraid all that traction back there is going to be shooting you left and right on each touch.
Go slowly at first and see if that happens or no.
It looks heavy duty as can be!!! 😎

yeah, they aren't very functional, just killing time .

let me give er a run and I'll report back.
It actually works better than it looks, i have the spring tension set pretty light on the bottom so when it pulls a wheelie and hits the bar it gradually pivots up to the end of the spring tension, so luckily my spring is fairly light and it wasn't a hard hit back on the wheelie bar just a gradual compression. got lucky 🤪

My truck body should be here tomorrow, that's the good news, the bad news is i got so excited throwing in a low lowball offer in on the Ford ranger on fleebay I hadn't noticed the overall measurement of 11in when the seller accepted my offer 😀
so now when I receive the truck body I'll be stretching it 5+inches and throw some ghost flames on and maybe a color changing chameleon orange 🍊 🤔
