hi i have a nitro HSP atomic warhead 18cxp engine that i bought off ebay (regret doing that). My manual only tells me the settings for the high speed needle but not for the low speed needle and the idle screw. It says to turn out the screw out the high speed needle 2.5 times. So how many turns out should the low speed needle and the idle screw should be for my engine to start so i can tune the engine from there.

sorry about my spelling and puncuation.

For the Idle you should look at your carb and it should be around a millimeter open.
You can read about it and the low speed needle at this link
http://radiocontrol.wikia.com/wiki/Nitro_engine_tuning
Youtube also has some good videos, just look around
I might be wrong on this, but usually you can leave the low speed needle as is with the factory setting, but I'm not sure, but if you want to get the best out of your engine you can tune it how ever.
hope I helped

tried setting low speed needle to flush but when i start my engine it just revs up then stalls its probably the idle screw i have to fiddle around with any ideas

If you start it and it revs without pushing the trigger thing then its probably the idle screw, just fiddle with it a bit and you should get it
Some more experienced guys here can probably give you a better explaination
Just remember counter-clockwise closes the carb, therefore lowering idle speed. Clockwise opens it, therfore increasing idle speed, so you should probably turn it counter clockwise a bit and see how it goes
good luck

yeh your probably right every 1 says that the carb should be opened up by 1mm. Not working for me?
