I picked up a used T-Maxx yesterday and have a couple of questions. First, my truck has Opti Drive. Does that mean it was originally a 3.3? Does Opti-Drive = 3.3 T-Maxx?

The reason I ask is because the motor has been replaced with a .18 OS TM. I am trying to figure out which model T-Maxx I have.

It is the old 3.3 t-maxx, the new one that i have is the 4908 model that is longer chassis, no reverse therefore no opti drive.

yes it def. a 3.3-the optidrive is their so it doesn't allow you to shift into reverse while the truck is moving forward(i.e you hit the reverse switch by mistake at full throttle)-if you convert to forward only-all the optidrive is takin out-along with the sensor in the trans and the servo-saves alotta weight. 2.5 and older maxxes have black plastic instead of grey(trans case,battery box,rx box,shocks,bulks). i have a 2.5 maxx and 2.5r revo model-both with o.s .18tm's. they run great compared to stock 2.5 motors(never have owned a 3.3 model anything). so if ya have any o.s tuning q's-let me at um. good luck

no problem big dave. is that exhaust stock 3.3-cause it looks much bigger then 2.5 exhaust for some reason. my o.s powered maxx has aluminum pipe-that is shaped after the stock pipe-found on ebay for 20$-woke that thing up like crazy. it will wheely from a dead stop(i have a wheelie bar)all the way through 1st gear and 2nd gear-awesome to hear that thing shift into second w/ front wheels pointed straight up. i need a videocamera so i can put up vids on youtube.

how do we put pics on threads like the pic of daves maxx????
 
I really don't know much about it. I picked it up cheap and thought I would play around with it. The guy I bought it from didn't know a whole lot about it either. He bought it from his friend a couple months ago but never used it.

The muffler says "Sirio" on it. Not sure if that's aftermarket or not. I wonder if that is the correct exhaust for the motor that's in it?
