hi i want to buy a nitro gas car but i dont know anything about them want to learn and tuned 1 out what is a good one to buy? and is it better with 4wd? too thanks need help for buying one than do mods to it.

hey dude, and welcome to the awesome hobby!! its a little money consuming lemme tell ya, but after you get a little expieriencee, its no prob.

sooo.... you wanna get a nitro car, first off, good choice on goin nitro. little difficult at times but the POWER is worth it man. I'm not too sure if you mean a gas car or truck or if it matters. but stadium trucks, monster trucks, and buggies all offroad and very versitile cause you can go on road too! but lemme tell you offraod terrain everything is so much fuun man.

so it leaves you with off-road....on-road. i dont no about on road(except thier boring lol  ) but i do happen to no a lil about OFF-road. first..they are awesome... and second youve got plenty of options. if you are starting I would personally say 2 wheels drive all the way cuz theres only so many benefits from em, very nice but little tricky for just startin out ya no?? so say you goin 2 wheel offroad nitro(which i do and personally prefer.......:naughty:) so there are many sweet cars in this area. one being the truck i drive team associateds rc10 gt, very good strong car, loads of power and fun, another team losi xxx-nt dont no too much about but it is nasty, sweet handling and awesome power. also the xtm x-cellerator is very good also, nice and cheap new too. i have drivin my friends and worked on. its nice and easy to see things also really fast! i couldnt belive it but then again.... .18 things a :tank: id say and just look at what everyone else recommends but i just gave you sum good cars so choose wisley son and may the forcec be with you!

also associated and losi got very good hop ups(mods), check out rpm and other cool stuff!

i would say go with a HPI SAVAGE if you want a monster truk
but if you want a stadium truk go with a TRAXXAS NITRO RUSLER they are wicked fast 57+ mph :jet:

but good luck its a awsome hobby but also EXPEN$I've:shhh:

thanks for the help i want to get a car type a deal and does it really matters?and should i just buy 1 on ebay? thinkin just get one from there

e-bay is a good place to get one except I have some precautions to take. Personally I wouldn't buy any used engines or cars from someone I don't know. Theres no way to really know how long it will last without opening it and exposing the piston/sleeve.
Buying a new car - just check that it comes with servos, reciever, radio, engine, etc. This will get you driving much quicker. Any major brand would give me a better sense of security. (hpi, etc, etc.)
I was looking around at e-bay and saw some nitro cars for dirt cheap from smartech (it was my first). I had it and ran it hard for a year without having to replace the engine. I guess it's a good beginner car. I don't know if it's against the rules... but i bought that car from egrandbuy on e-bay.
look for a while for the best prices.
well, two words - shop wisely!! lol

Don't buy your first car from ebay. I suggest a new rtr to start with, this way u won't have any problems. How much do u want to spend? That way it's easier to point u in the right direction. And how far up in Jersey are u? I'm always looking for people to bash with.

ya man you looking for onraod type a deal or what only street use go onraod car? you want to go dirt quick and fast and jump high and stuff go for stadium truck. you want super offroad action really big and deffintley durable can ride almost over anything, then go moster trucks they arent fastest in world but deffinitley cool and off road can go on road too so thers always an option

but so say you want to get off internt, i deffintley wouldnt do off eby specially if youer new to whole seen could get mega ripped of,IF you want to go on internet do it from somwhere dependabel brand new. like tower hobbies hobby people dot coms and stuff and there alway the recomende choice of from you're local hobby shop so good luck an good pickins!

And if you really want to know how it works, buy one in kit form. You'll have it apart soon enough when something breaks.

If you buy it in kit form, you have to put it together. But then you know what is what.
