newb aro question

If you run the engine in the evening and plan on running it the very next morning, is aro necessary? Or wait until the end of running the next day?

I do not think so.. but there are things you would need to consider..

1. How new is it?? I wouldn't want to leave a new engine sitting without it.
2. Are there going to be major temp changes??

That is all I can think of right now. I am sure somebody knows a little more.

I doubt it's nessesary for over-night, but I've made it a habit since I never know when I'm going to run it again, whether it be in an hour or a week.

Probably isnt really necassary, but a couple drops wouldnt hurt anything. Rather be safe than sorry ya know?

it's the best habit to get into...like everytime you pick your rc up turn the piston down to BDC.....just do it and you have no more worries......why I do it on "those" days is simple...it rains here at any givin time...I might think I'm gonna run it in the morning but what if I can't....then I leave it sitting for a week or 2 til I run again.....I've done that and forgotten to ARO it...it still runs.....and when I do the tear down I don't see any serious buildup or whatever...if you do that too many times and don't clean your mill out it can become an issue....BTW 25% tranny fluid and 75% Marvel Mystery oil will make you enough ARO for at least a year.......adn costs???10 bucks

^ ^ 100% agree.

Also, "a few drops" is worthless unless that's all your crankcase holds. The idea is to completely flush out the engine to drive out any alcohol to prevent moisture condensation.
