Its a diesel and actually it gets pretty good mileage. it has 320 horse engine to put it in perspective the average tractor trailer has about 400 horse. and she will break the tires loose..

which engine is the one getting 320? the base with DT466 is pushing 300 with 860 pounds of torque. If it can break the tires loose, be pretty damn tight seeing a semi roasting tires with a automatic tranny.

They also have a DT570 engine, 310 hp and 950 pounds of torque. I can see that one burnin tires without questions asked.

Lemme know! i'm takin diesel mechanic classes next year after I'm done with my 2 year mechanics course I'm taking now. Tryin to learn all I can about international as soon as I can. I guess we are hurting for diesel mechanics in the short future.

The MPG of a average daycab tractor trailer with about a 30,000 lb payload is abot 7 Mpg. The gross weight is about 57,000.

I agree! The only way it could scream it louder is if it had a ferrari on a flatbed behind it!

It is kind of cool though... didn't international come out with one that was a little smaller? One that kind of looked like a mini duece?
