new to the forum/my new ride

hi ,I'm new to this forum but not a newbie to nitro.i just finished puting together my new ride and wanted to tell people about it!it is a serpent 705 with a 2005 rossi pixxi outlaw,ths circuit pipe and a hitec micro fm reciever.its a big differnce from my hpi rs4 that I've been driving the last 2 years and I'm hoping almost twice the speed.where i drive is a huge parking lot and we pretty much race around the polls but my lhs is getting a new place and they are planning on building an onroad course to go along with the offroad track that they already have.I'm hoping to really get this car dialed in so when they do get the track finished i can go in there and really mop them up

Serpent is a great ride. Its leaps and bounds better then the RS4. You will have a lot of fun. Welcome to RCNT!

the 705 is a 10th scale....I had one w/ a crappy OS .12 in it and it was just too darned fast for where I usually drice TCs......I traded it as a roller for a mini-T...LOL...and I want to make the mini-t into one of those ballistic little missiles that will tear the serpent up....great ride man they are really responsive...I'm just not into road that much...

finally got to start it today ,at first i couldnt get it to idle so i checked the high speed needle and found that it was only about 3 turns out so i took it to 4.5 and it started right up.next the back belt fell off so i was only getting front wheel drive and no breaks with the front one way,figured that out and have a slight mod in mind that should take care of that problem.i drove it for about a total of 25 mins shutting it off and letting it cool down every 2 to three minutes .i definately like this breakin method better than the old let it idle for a tank way.i would have kept going but my diff loosened up on me so ill have to take the back end of the car apart and fix that tonight.this pixi motor is a rocket,just giving it 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and it already looks faster than my old rs4 with the sirio motor and the car handles great.i figure i have about another 15 mins of breakin time and i can start to see what this thing can do.i think its easily going to hit 70 mph .
