So I picked up an "impulse buy" RJ Speed 30" dragster off ebay. Anyone have one of these rockets? Any tips or pointers you would share on set-up and such? Going to be running a Spektrum 100A 6500Kv on 2s....if all goes well on set-up. Thanks and I found a nice long parking lot about 300 ft to run in. From what I can tell it's never been run. Not a mark on the underside at all. It is literally brand new and I have no build manual.

Yay! Another restore. Where's the wing?

Has no wings but they are on the way. Wing only so mounts will need to be made up. Has rear bearings but front bushings.
Yeah, they just used servo linkage wire for the wing didn't they?

I believe they do. Maybe I could find someone with a 3d printer. Front is pretty basic and low but the rear will need side strength as well as down pressure. I'll draw it up on aluminum sheet first.

The old school wings on the 1:1 were my favs man. Just aluminum airfoils.

That is sharp. Seems pretty straightforward to make and I wouldn't have to wait 2 months for it to arrive.
Yeah, the deck just has a lip on either side bent over for the screws to attach to, then notched where the bend in the deck is.

I'm excited to see how this goes. I've been interested in the rj speed stuff but they look to have pretty minimal tuning adjustments. But if it goes straight I bet that thing would put down some nasty times

Looking on YouTube these actually look pretty crazy

Good lord...where did it go? I can't wait now. Back to work on this thing tomorrow. Lol

So with a bit of time on my hands, I got the rail finished. I ran it or should say...TRIED...to run it on 2S. Breaks the tires free at the 10-12 ft mark. It's just insane. Outside temp in the 40f range and cold asphalt On the street in front of the house. Going to need a much bigger area to try full throttle for more than 3 seconds. Rear wing seems to be for appearance only. It's totally nuts. Testing will resume shortly.

How to make

What you'll get

It'll help get you up to speed, once at speed the car should be relatively stable. Only downside is this stuff gets EVERYWHERE on the hit lol
Homemade "Pimp Juice"!!! Going shopping soon.
