new to rock crawling

was looking into getting a 1/10 scale crawler at this time looking to spend around 300 dollars what would be the best route a rtr or would i have to spend more on a kit and what are the best types would like to do some weekend comps down the road ty.

The new version of the ax10 called the Ridgcrest will be good entry level EYE Crawler with great aftermarket support, and it will be real close in price to what you are looking to spend,

thanks i ended up ordering the ridgcrest really wanted an ar10 but that will have to wait.so i m new to the rc hobbie besides just mashing the old radio shack rig as a kid i don t know any thing about the lipo batterys can i run them in this they are 7.4 volt not 7.2 v like ni-mi do i have to up grade my esc or motor?

Yeah you can run Lipos that ESC has Lipo cutoff and it is a decent ESC to start with as well.
