New to R/C is redcat a good brand?

So I'm looking at this '69 Cam Z28. Can you guys tell me your opinion on this website/manufacturer/car?

I'm only going to use it on the street. But what would I need to do to it to make it a drift-ready car?

No clue but a few guys were telling me to go with HPI and I found the exact same car on the same site made by HPI. What would you suggest?

Redcat isn't great, but their trying will they ever compete with top companies i.doubt it for the price of redcat save a few more dollars and get a namebrand like hpi ,team associated ,team losi, kyosho, redcat is not going to do nothiby but make you wish you spent.your money more.wisely I suggest reading some rc car action mags and looking at big squid rc .com for.some great reviews and also look at user reviews when ever possibly and.ask around... the xtra money you spend on a name brand kit is well worth it ....now.with that being said i.have a friend who bought a.redcat the bought 2 savages x from hpi and he wishes he never bought the redcat nothing but engine problems .... hope it.helps ....

If i were you, i would order some glow plugs too. I'm no nitro expert, so some one else would have to tell you what type to get.

I think it's just a Redcat with a HPI body on it! notice all the colours the body comes in. My guess would be they just paint the body per order. Get the Savage, I would make sure the car stand can fit the Savage though before ordering.

Get some extra spur gears and some slipper pads my x burns through them if the slipper isn't set perfect they are cheap stock up and the battery for the Roto start and a glow igniter and extra plugs

If you don't have a nitro starter kit already, then it is a good idea to get one too. Any nitro rc car will work with it.
