Some people say it's best to "rough up" the inside areas that will be painted and some dont. I particularly don't think it's necessary. IMO all you really need to do is wash the inside of the body VERY well with dish washing detergent and rinse... WELL! Then just mask your windows and spray away.

I have never roughed up a body before painting. But as Lesson mentioned it is very important to clean it very well. There is mold release on the the lexan that can mess up the paintjob. I take his suggestion one step further however. After trimming the body, then cleaning it with soap and water I will also give it a good wipedown with denatured alcohol.

I'm not looking to do anything fancy. I'm just going to beat the snot out of the body anyways. Is it nessiary to mask the windows if i'm going to use 2 colors tops? Again not doing anything fancy for a bash body. I'm going to practice on this body before I paint my rustler racing body.

I may not paint like a pro but prepping the lid is very important. I did neither of the two suggestions. I though I could just blow it off with a compressor and be done. Nevertheless my paint did not look or adhere to well to the lid.

I was thinking a black with a green fade in going further back
