New to Nitro

Hey everyone, I have just recently purchased my first nitro truck. And of course me being a noob to this hobby i messed up. it is used, and it does have a few issues. keep in mind i am a noob and i only paid 50 bucks for it. i got it home got it running but it dont like to run. first i will tell you this truck is not what it is. it had a totally different body on it (Electrix Ruckus modded to fit) so iam having trouble identifing the chassis. pics are down below to anyone that might recognize it. pls help. i think if i can get a model or something it might help with finding parts or fixing the problems it has. after researching a little i think i found out that the motor is a SH .28 (pls correct me if i am wrong). here are the pics. thank you to all in advance for any info

Well it looks to be a 1/8 scale buggy, I'm no good at identifying them so maybe someone else can help with that. In order for us to help you get it running we will need some more info. What all is it doing? Is it hard to start, when it does start does it die as soon as you remove the ignitor or only after the engine warms up? Are you using new fuel or did it come with the car, have you replaced the glow plug? Pretty much give us as many details as you can. Post a picture of the underside of the car it may help in figuring out what it is.

Seeing what it says on the head,I'd say you're right about the engine. It's not as likely that the head was swapped like the body. The rest screams Ofna to me,possibly a hyper 7 or 8. Looks really close the dirt oval cars I have that are based on the Hyper 8 buggy.

well rough luck today. Finally got it running ok. just had to test and tune but of course problems persist to annoy me. what i thought was a simple pull start fix turned out to be another trip to my LHS. One way bearing didn't like its life no more. so gota go tomorrow and get one. hopefully this will be the last for now. had to reset everything back to factory all settings. After it would start it would sometimes idle real high then die. or take off like its supposed to but like a minute or 2 it will just die. but after i set to factory specs it would idle good until i pulled the gas. so i set the carb to 1mm and was guna go test but could pull it over and i have bought brand new fuel (HPI 20%)

Try to seal the engine as well that will help with running inconsistently.
