wow, glad to hear that you got it to work good. I have never ever seen that mistake. Out of anyone to make that mistake I would have guessed Smartech to do that. Glad to hear its working good now. We all have our troubles, and thats how we learn. Welcome to RCNT

Well, so far, I've run out of fuel every time.
Oh, ok.
I was wondering why you were re-priming it.
Now I know why.lol.

if you dont wana get a new fueltank, clean out the tank real good & let it dry....go around the seams good with crazyglue to seal the leaky seams you have......when the glue dries slose off all the fuel line holes except for 1.....fill up the tank with fuel & blow real hard in the open fuel line hole......if you dont see leaking then its good to go.....

Did you read the thread???
He showed the fuel valve came without a hole in it.
Read the thread.

i didnt see a picture on this thread.......may be my computer......ill check it out......ever since i put peoplepc on this computer it acts up sometimes......thinkin bout goin back to aol......

Yeah, I've got it sealed tight now. Used some thin CA.

How do you recommend shutting down the engine in order to make it easier to prime the next time?

Wow Sam, I have never seen a new tank come with the fuel nipple sealed up like that! That's nuts, man! Would've been the absolute last thing I would've thought of, for sure!

As for stopping the engine, I know some folks plug the stinger with a rag or something (though I hear that can lead to engine damage because of the sudden pressure increase.) I stop mine by pinching the fuel line to the carb. or stopping the flywheel with my toe or a rag. I think most folks have their preference and particular reasons why.

I stop the flywheel with a rag, then roll it till its the bottom of the turn.
