I am new to rc and i want to get a nitro truck. I was wanting something good for bashing and off-road. If anybody has any suggestions to my first truck that would be great. Thanx:D

Hpi Savage are good Tmaxxs are alright but for some reason i could never get that darn 2.5r motor tuned and the 3.3 is the same way from what i hear.

I have the new extended t-maxx 4908, its a blast, but like any other nitro rc, it will break, and i heard alot that the savage is a great basher out of the box, but i looked at one my LHS had next to my t-maxx and it looks alot more complicated i dont know. Just my Opinion. I think the new t-maxx is easier to work on from the looks of the savage. Just saying its my opinion and do not mean to critisize any savage owerner i never owned one so i dont know.

I like the t-maxx. my local hobby shop has it but what is the difference about the t-maxx 4908. Also, is it a good beginner truck and will it last a while.

any of the LOSI LST series, (LST, Aftershock, Raminator LST2) will be the biggest out of the box IMO.

Get a hpi savage they are great and durable i have only ever broken mine once and that was jst a loose pin so i recon the best truck is the savage they also have heaps of options so if u want to go faster u can get cheap parts for them to so i recon that is the best car on the market at the moment for a begginer to a pro

I have 4 3.3 motors. 3 were great to tune and always ran cool. One was nightmare and always over heated. Even at 1.5 turns more rich than factory setting with the body off. Traxxas repalced it without a hassle and now they all run great. Except I replaced them all so they are sitting in a box now. LOL

Any version of the LST is awesome. Loads of cool upgrades and very easy to work on. The new LST2 from the factory will probably have a problem with it's one way bearing on the two speed but LOSI will repalce it.

But just go crazy and get a HPI Baja 5B or 5T. :first_place:
