getting ready to purchase rtr touring car,who makes the best for the money-currenty own maxxed out nitro stampede, getting in a rut w/ monster trucks.

darrel - Welcome to RCNT!!!

My neighbor has a nitro 'pede - had it for like 4 years, thing still runs great.

The best RTR touring car is a hot topic of discussion, but the one that always gets the most votes is the Team Associated NTC3.

The NTC3 is basically the exact same car as the team race version, minus a few minor items that can be added once u get used to the RTR setup. Combine that with the fact that its made by associated, the winningest builder of all time, and its kinda hard to beat.

Keep in mind, however, that if your LHS doesn't stock parts for team associated, it might not be the best choice, as what you LHS carries is always an important factor - you dont want to be housebound for a week waiting for mailorder.

Other good touring cars in RTR format are the HPI RS4, the OFNA LD3.

I would still STRONGLY recommend the NTC3 - i have the team version and have won many many races with it.

Good Luck! Ask questions! And welcome to the best RC Site on the planet!

thnx for the info, how about the trx 4 tech pro, ireally like the traxxas co.

also noticed you are from central fl,can you recomend a good lhs down there.

i have seen the 4tec in action many times - and i personally would NOT recommend it. the vehicle is quite prone to breaking, and doesn't handle for crap. Several people here own one and arnt to happy with it. Nitromaniac has one, and i think he just threw it away after he got his NTC3, ask him about it.

Team Associated is the way to go :) Heck.. i'm still running a 15 year old Team Associated RC300.
Those cars are tanks.

your address says north carolina - did u just move here? if so, where?

I am sponsored by Colonial Photo & Hobby for my NTC3. They allow me large discounts. If you want something, lemmi know, and i can get it for you.

picked a good time - BRAND NEW permanent on road track in Kissimmee just opened - first race is this weekend - races every weekend.

Email me at : [email protected] to discuss this further. Lot of great places to race in orlando, also the largest off road 8th scale buggy track in the southeast is in kissimmee - i posted some pictures in my gallery if u wanns see it

YES! I admit it, I got the 4tec a few months back,I now own a ntc3 and the difference is far beyond night and day! In my opinion I would run as fast as hell away from any Traxxas product, not only is the tc3 the best rtr out there fior the money its the most upgradeble by far, if you lhs dosnt stock parts for AE, I would find another hobby store!
And to correct nitroaddict, I didnt throw the car away, I threw it up in the air as hard as i could and watched it land in pieces, and thats what I think about 4tecs!
