New suspension...

Someone knows witch suspension (front,rear) i should buy??
I have the Inferno MP 7.5 sport.. The suspension rod allways bends when i flip one landing.. I'm tired off bending the rod back every time..!!

Any ideas???

First how full, and what wieght of shock oil are you filling it with? When you fill the shock too much, or use to high of a weight, something has to give and it is ususally the bladder but I have seen them hold and bend the shock piston rods. Also too many preload spacers on big jumps can cause this problem. The have Ti Nitride coated shock shafts although there are pricey, they take a beating.

I fill them all the way upp, with 50 (Team Loosi, red).

Once I upgraded my 7.5 to the Kanai II shocks I've had no problems. They are 3.5mm shock shafts and bigger shock bodies as well.

As humbolt stated, if your shock oil is too thick it will have a tendance to bend the shaft. What weights are you running? I have 35 up front and 40 in the rear with hard springs and no spacers and have had no problems regardless how i land.

50 weight kinda thick eh? have u tried 30 or 35 ? and maybe softer springs ? whats kinda track conditions, or this all bashing ? And when u mean suspension rod ? are you talking aboout the shock shaft ? or tierods ? cause if you are bending shockshafts back, there is no way to get them straight again (within reason)

Yea, I allso think 50 is too thick.. but when i use thinner oil the cars hitting the underground wery hard with the chassis..I dont like when that happens.. :nono:

well i would dump the 50wt put in 35wt (the thicker weight wont help with bottoming out.. preload spacers and heavier springs will) and put on stiffer springs. But lose those shimpy shocks, and get the kanii's 3.5mm's

You have the "Sport" right? If so I'm assuming your running the stock blue shock bodies and the black springs?? The best advice I can give you is to get the silver Kanai shocks and the hard White springs.

One thing, if you do get the Kanai Shocks you will need to make a spacer for the top of the shock. The Blue ones have a very small hole at the top to mount to the shock tower. The Silver ones have a much larger hole.

50 is stiff but shouldn't be bending them. I think all the way to the top is a little too much. I fill mine to the bottom threads of the top of the shock. Try that. Also if you do not bleed your shocks air bubbles can cause major problems. Although I am all for hop-ups, I think something else is causing your shafts to bend.

ya but if he doesn't fill the oil to the top, when the piston is at full stroke the piston will be in air and then bring it the air back down into the fluid and wala bubbles.......

No air bubbles here as my bladder is convexed downward into the shock body at the top of the shocks, so if I fill it to the threads like 1/4 inch or less from the top, work all my air bubbles out, the I have no gap of air like you are talking about. We might be talking apples and oranges here as different brands of shocks differ slightly. My whole point is that he might be over filling them so try just a little less shock fluid next time. Good luck.

You best bet might be ebay, seems like there are always people parting new cars outa the box
