I'm running my lx1 and my steering servo already seems to be acting up, I've recharged the batteries and it still doesn't turn that well.

I know that the servo is known to be not the best. Any suggestions for an upgraded steering servo?

Check out Tower Hobbies' Hobbico line. I'd go with something that has metal gears, ball bearings and torque around 140+oz. What kind of rig is it? Buggy, monster truck, ect... Hitec makes awesome servos if you don't mind spending a little extra money.

Its an ofna ultra lx one (buggy). I don't mind spending a little more to make it last longer and be a better unit. Whats a little extra? 20 bucks?

Hahahaa, thanks Matt, you reply to a ton of people, don't expect you to remember everyone.

I'll keep these in mind and see what happens w/ my current servo. Is it hard to replace on my own?

Useless piece of info, my name is also Matt and I'm a big metal guy... Pantera is a quality group, wish I had a chance to see them live.

That's a rad coincidence! I still choke up thinking about Dimebag sometimes. I like the way he played so much it felt like i knew him. Death to ALL FALSE METAL.:) Anyways, back to the topic. I've never owned a buggy so there may be better choices available. If your strictly bashing, those are good choices. Some others should chime in with more options. I'm strictly a basher. I must admit that I pay no attention to transit time(servo speed). If you plan on racing, speed will be a concern as well as torque.

I used a HiTec HS-5645MG for both throttles and steering on my X-Ray XB-8. It has plenty of torque and good speed.

Thanks for the info guys. Is it difficult to swap out?

Usually it's not very hard at all. My X-Ray needed to have 4 screws removed from the servo holding it to the chassis and the screw holding the arm onto the servo.
