You need to know your spring rate, the diameter, and the uncompressed length, as well as the wire diameter. FTX does not list the spring rate, which would be helpful. But you can check your spring rate.
So basically, you set a weight on the spring and measure how much the spring compresses and plug those numbers into the formula. That tells you your spring rate.
L = weight
T = distance the spring compresses
