New servo stripped stock servo linkage piece

Your talking about the servo horn correct? Did you change over to a HiTec compatible horn? The stock horn is a Futaba and they have different # of splines. Traxxas makes a pack of horns for aftermarket servos. This kit (5345X) contains 2 horns for the Hitec steering and 1 for the throttle. Also, you can change to one of the horns that usually comes with new servos.
 
The 985MG came with horns. Shouldn't be too tough to rig something up for your needs with one of those, a dremel and a drill. At least until you order a hitec specific traxxas arm.

I had that same servo in my revo and used one of the black arms:
