Allright I think I'll go with innovative. I like that they through in all the hardware and supply the mid-tank conversion aswell. Besides that I can't go wrong with Lifetime warrranty. I know I want the ext but I'm still not sure if lcg is right for my driving style. I like to go for big air and I like the big MT look.

A couple pics to change your mind. The LCG is the bomb!

Allright I'm sold. Nice Savvy by the way Scrogg. Are you planning to do your rear shocks also? Am I going to need a new body too or will the one that came with my truck fit still?

That is the one inch rear, 6mm front extended LCG TVP kit on mine. I used MGT/LST size bodies. That Chevy body is the Proline C10 longbed. Revo 3.3 bodies fit good too but are bit narrower.
I do not have that truck anymore. I sold it a while back, big mistake.
i have another savage that i use the stock shocks on. You can't beat em'. They are cheap and the most reliable for bashing. You can buy 8 new Savage shocks off E-Bay for roughly 20 bucks all day long. Notice in the first pic the stockers in the rear and the Aftershock shocks in the front? I broke the Aftershock dampers right off the bat that day and had to install the stockers to keep bashing. That was a fun day. The body did not survive either! lol
Another downside to the LST shocks is the mount brackets beat up the body quicker.

Thanx for the heads up on the shocks. I figured on sticking with stock for awhile anyway. I want to save something to upgrade later. I'm pretty hard on bodies as well. I keep saying that I'll just put a roll cage on and roll without the badies but hasnt happened yet. Thanks for all the help and suggesions and have a great Turkey Day. I'll post on the progress later.

I'm now working on the radio box. I've got hitec servos Hs-625mg for throttle/brake and Hs-7995tg for steering. I've heard that I need a bigger battery for the digital servo, like 2000mah. Is that correct? I have one thats 1600mah and have'nt found any hump packs any bigger. Am I making this bigger than it is?

Thanks. I'm allready crazy! I'm allready looking into lipos but want to wait awhile. I just dont want to underpower the servos. Should be buttoning everything up this weekend if my tvps arrive.

A few progress pics! Might actually be warm enough Sunday for break in.

I have to admit a few of my cars and trucks are only ...set up,full break in and then cleaned to a new like condition...after oil massage. Nobody dares touch. :hehe:

I have the most fun with the most basic RC's ,the gorgeous alloy monsters are SHELF QUEEN certified. Who would jump a $2000 unit when a $400 fares better?

Everything I've put on this truck serves its purpose for bashing I hope. If it were going to remain in all of its beauty I would still have it in pieces waiting on more alluminum. Not trying to out do Rolex! lol I'll be getting her dirty soon I hope.

Bigger hump pack

Is a 1200mah battery pack not enough to run a Hs-7995tg hitec servo, about to be getting mine in the mail soon.

Thanks

I ran a 1200mah with no problems too in the past.
Gotta love those TVPs! Nice build man. You'll love the way it handles, especially compared to a stocker. just don't expect a lot of wheelies. That chassis puts the power to the ground and helps keep the nose down. I won a lot drag races just being able to keep the truck on al four's under full throttle.
As far as jumping, it will fly 10X better.

Savage Fvr, I'm not sure about the hump packs. I've heard that digital servos drain more power than stock. I'm just going a little nuts with this truck. It should be a lot of fun.

Scrogg, Thanx for all your input on the build. I'm not really wheelie mad and the bar is more for added protection than anything. Thanx again.

Final pics for this thread!

Awesome, I love all the parts you chose!
I only see one potential problem, the fuel filter by the header. It could lead to boiling the fuel in the filter.
I always run my fuel line thru the shock tower and over the top of the header. You can tie off the filter to the shock tower.
It makes pinching the fuel line easy with the body on too.
