Hello i just purchased another car, i wish it could be a little faster though.(compared to my nitro rs4 3). I'm looking to get another motor i dont want anything crazy i would like 45mph and if its possible to keep the stock esc. I also know i will need metal tranny gears. I dont race just mess around in my alley and the local river bed. Any input on a motor would be cool, thanks. I also have a Trinity nervous breakdown 19t from a Losi xxxt havent ran in a while will it work?

Find the specs on your esc and read, itll tell you whether it can handle the motor or not.

Totally off topic here, but I assume by your name you own a Subaru? Ima guess Legacy 2.5GT, WRX or the STi?

Explain!

I'm pretty sure the limit is 15 turns for 540 motors. And i currently own a 06 Subaru STI SGM.

Currently looking at the Velinion Brushless setup, dont think i want that much power anyone know another good set up a little cheaper. I think i am looking to get both the esc and motor. $100 budget would be nice.

Will i be able to run my stock gears with the 4600? And will i need to upgrade my tranny? I will probably be running 3s but not for sure yet.

If you're going top run 3s I'd recommend the second ESC/motor combo Jacks listed. The 3000 kV motor is similar to what the VXL runs and is a bit Sturdier than the SV3. Just remember that 3s is pushing the ESC a LOT harder than 2s. (I found out the hard way when I smoked an SV3).

Thanks i think ill be runnings 2's then with the 4600. I'm mostly going to be doing some offroading so i really wont need that top end power. Any other reccomendations with the castle setup.

Stock gearing with that setup is going to be a beast. You'll love it. Replace with RPM as you break it. Rear hub carriers are going to break. Front caster blocks will break. Aluminum those as soon as they break.

Does RPM make Aluminum caster blocks? I heard that the graphite ones that they make flex alot? I'm sure they will hold up though plus they are cheaper to replace.

No. Get the Traxxas or STRC ones.

My son runs a Tacon 3500KV motor in his Rustler and they are $24 at hobbypartz.com , I am pretty impressed with the motor!
