Hey guys, Just got off the phone with HPI. They are starting shipments of New revised roto starts as of 6/1/06 I was told I would have mine no later than Friday 6/2/06 Keeping my fingers crossed! My suggestion to all who have been having problems with the old roto start, if you haven't all ready is to call HPI direct 1 949 753-1099 and let them know your problem and they can send you one or at least get on the list for one. Some of you may have already got yours. This is for those who have not or do not have any problems yet, but you will have so might as well start calling HPI.
 
You wouldn't happen to have a part # or anything would you? I'd like to put this on the front page news section!

WoodiE..The part # 87130 is for the new revised Roto Start 2



Olds...They say they just made the case better to mesh with the gears as in the past they were striping or not even working correctly, and so the breaker button pops out when you get hydrolocked.

Vb..that's what I did yesterday. Told them I bought it in April, and the problems I've been having and they just took my name and address and said it will be shipped today. Threw in a couple of 1-way berrings to boot.
 
My Savage roto start broke on the first time i touched the button....but luckily i had a back up. Called HPI and they sent me a new one within a week. It didnt seem as fast at my old one but was more torquey looking. They ever repalced my one way bearing and the new starter came with another backplate
