Hey all,

I sold my Revo to olds and decided to try out onroad again. It was between the RS4 3 18SS and the AE NTC3+ and I went with the RS4. Reason was it was a kit and I love building kits. The FT NTC3 is nice, but would cost too much for me to get it going.

Anyway the kit arrived tonight and I did an hour or two of building. rossb has got all the build pics here so I won't post up every pic, but I'll post a few pics of my progress.

Thanks, I will :) Oh, and I got the Ford GT body, and I plan on painting it blue with white stripes.

Thats cool AC48. I think it would be a blast to build one from a kitor just a new ride. I have gotten all my trucks used on ebay. That body will be sweet post pics of the final build.

Yea building a kit is half the fun of the hobby for me. I will be sure to post up some pics of the final build, I can't wait to see how the body will turn out.

Thanks for pointin that out plaid...lol

No I don't plan to upgrade the engine soon. I have seen it run in a MT1 18SS and it hauls. Has tons of power, should be plenty for an onroad.

I've got all the front and rear done, workin on the shocks now :)

my 200mm lamorhini gallardo body i just did~

I'm gettin the rs4 3 18ss kit for christmas, so i snook into the box and got the body, i decided to do it now so it would be ready then, i just got it done. it was my first ever and i think it turned out decent.

I haven't got a chance to work on the body yet, but we got a snow storm coming tomorrow and maybe I'll have the day off to work on it :)

I haven't got my radio in yet so I threw threw the bumper and the wheels/tires on for fun. All I have left is the radio tray really, getting a foot of snow tomorrow so it may be a shelf queen for a while haha.

It looks like there aren't any extra wholes for the reciver box and servo mounts AC48. i have never been into onroads that much but does it require you to drill them or anything?

Nope, doesn't require any holes on the RS4. If you look close there are are three little posts, one on the steering plate, one on the center bulkhead, and one right by the left rear wheel. The whole readio try slides on these posts and is held on by body pins. HPI advertises this as an 'easy removel radio tray for easy cleaning.' Personally I like the design becuase you pull out three pins, take of two screws for the linkage and the whole radio tray is off and it looks like that (but with a tank) so you can really get in there and clean well.

Dude nice. That looks sweet. I had those tires for my tc3 and they had tons of grip. Hopefully it will be the same for the 18ss. GIT R DUNNNN

I've had these tires before and didn't like em at all. A lot say they are good tires but they weren't great for me, maybe cuase it was my first R/C and I didn't know what I was doing haha. Anyway I have some new tires on the way so I may be selling these, I'm not sure yet.

We have a snow day so if my radio comes it should be all done today.

Very nice AC!
Good luck and have fun with it.

Nice,

Now to start the upgrades J/k :-) I heard that 18ss is pretty peppy. Good luck w/ it
