New project

For my next project, I would like to build an electric 4x4 from scratch. The only one that jumps out at a decent price is the tamiya F-150. Anybody have any experience with this truck? Wondering how durable and buildable it is. How much power it can handle. Any other ideas?

well I've seen on youtube and such and seems pretty sturdy.

I was also looking at the Twin Detonator. There was a dude on youtube that had a novak esc and a 10 cell battery in it. Looked like it moved pretty well. Wonder if you could run a one motor brushless system in it.
