Ok had a .15 last year and it ran fine but blew it up. Today i put my new os 18 cvrx on and got it fired up, but it wouldnt go into gear. If i put the throttle up it would jump a little bit in forward and reverse, but just a little bit. When i push the truck it doesn't turn the spur gear. ???? Is there some kind of adjustment i need to make?

sounds like your new engine wont run much higher than idle. how many tanks have you run?

Sounds like either the linkage isnt fully engaging the transmission or ya done blown something up inside it

ok not sure what all those comments mean..lol
i dont think the gear in the trannys meshing right, when i push the truck backwards or forwards the spur gear does not turn. I just didnt know what all is inside those tranny cases, like if there is a linkage i could adjust to or a clutch system or what.
I have only run 1 tank thru it so far, so now came the part to drive it around at little throttle, but can't get it to drive

Since you swapped the engine, I'm betting it's a problem inside the clutch bell.
Other than that, what does it do when you give it MORE throttle?

There is a clutch located inside the tranny that engages at a certain rpm, which is why when you push the truck forward/reverse the spur gear does not turn. Either your engine is not reving high enough or you may have snapped a pin screw inside the tranny on the primary shaft.

I dont think there is a clutch inside of the transmission.. when I roll mine backwards the spur gear rotates. The only clutch that I know of is the clutch bell on the engine

There's a pawl clutch inside the trannys that have reverse. It's where the notorious herking and jerking comes from. I'd do a forward only conversion to save on future headaches.

Ah, there's some clarification.. mine still has fwd and reverse, however the spur still turns.

oh it was reving high enough to engage it, even tho i was trying not to rev it too high being a new engine. I just know it was running fine in the fall till my motor poop out on me. I wasn't sure how hard it was to dig into the tranny and what to look for once i'm in there....its nice having reverse, but the jerking is a pain in the ass and half the time it didnt want to hit reverse anyways
