Well, i just got a great deal on an old ntc3. it will need some work, so I'm here to ask a few questions that I'm unsure about. so here we go:
it needs a pressure fitting nipple. this is what i got when i searched it. sound right? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFX78&P=ML

sounds like i also need to do a tear down of the engine, and reseal it. what should i reseal it with, and do i use thread lock on the screws that hold it all together?

i need to do a tear down of the car itself, what do i lube that with?

well..just some questions i wanted to throw out there. thanks

Well first, what engine is on it? If its what I think it is, then yes that nipple will do the job. I never did use thread lock on my engine, and never on the screws that hold the heat head on it. The screws tighten up good by them selves and as the head heats up theres more pressure on the screws. Also keep in mind that thread lock can burn and its nasty when it does. If you need a lube to clean the car then use any 3 in 1 oil, but if you are lubing the diffs. or other moving parts on the chassis, i recommened using Associated's Stealth Lube (#6591).

I never really did an engine rebuild so I dont know what sealer to use. But 3 in 1 for cleaning the chassis and other parts and the Stealth lube for the acctual rebuild for the chassis and diffs. and other moving parts not on the engine.

Permatex engine-safe gasket compound. My dad has some in his toolbox and says it is safe for all engines, just smear a bit on the metal-to-metal part you're sealing and screw it in, and the compound dries into a rubber gasket.
