New Mugen buggy????

Does anyone know if Mugen is planning on releasing a new buggy any time soon? I have a Mayhem now and have been wanting a Prospec for a while now, but don't want to buy one and then have Mugen release a new buggy right after.

Mugen said no. They just released the prospec which is doing extremely well and getting up to speed. Their newest addition was the MSR. No new buggy anytime soon. I red something very similar to this on the mugen forums.

Take it for what it is worth, but I have heard rumors of a MBX-6. Could just be rumors though. Did this already come up here?

I just got my new mayhem last friday and i love it. And i dont think that any new buggies would be coming out anytime soon. I say keep the mayhem and drive it and then wait a little bit to get a sweet mbx-5.

I do alright with my Mayhem, usually finish in the top 3, but have always liked the Mugen. Right now, I can't decide between the Mugen and the XRAY.

TTB4 is much better than the Mayhem, you should switch. Ask Diver-he had both. Mugen is ofcourse in a class of its own with Xray.

out of all the buggies you've mentioned, I think the mugen is the best. Inexpensive, and very capable.

Mugen inexpensive? Prospec is 650. You must have tons of cash to consider that inexspensive for an rc car.

mugen parts are a little less expensive when compared to kyosho or xray. And all the mugen stuff can be had at pretty good prices on ebay.

And in my opinion, the prospec is just a bunch of un-needed heavy bling. If I where to drive a mugen again, I'd just get a base kit and add fironi stuff where needed.

I was wondering when someone would bring the K cars into the mix.

The "un-needed heavy bling" is important when you go end over end. I also believe it has let me come out unbroken from a few collisions with other buggies. My fault, or not.

K cars seem weak to me....they are a very performance oriented machine....they run really well when you treat them like some golden child but if they throw a tantrum your F'd.....the mugen and Xray seem to like to be beaten like a red headed step child....after seeing some of the crashes at my track from both my Xray and all the prospecs....I'd never even cosider a K-car......besides the parts are just ridiculous priced....I like their shocks but they cost the same as the mugen ones everyone likes anyway....

I'd pick it over the K-cars..but for me the parts availability would shut it down quick....I hate ordering parts from online shops...besides my LHS beas tower prices.....I wasn't terribly impressed w/ it...2 guys run em at mills pond...one guy has his dialed in perfect and it does really well...the other guy is a numb nut and his is always in the pit.....it doesn't seem to fly as well as the others....we have some big hits at the track so flying is a lttle more critical here....when my XB8 dies I'm going MUGEN MUGEN MUGEN.....love my Xray but noone stocks parts in shop that well here....mugen and kyosho are every where....
