i have a tmaxx 2.5, just got the 3.3 motor to put in it. should i just run the 2.5 pipe till i can get the 3.3 pipe. is it going to make a difference.

It won't hurt the engine, but it will hamper performance. Don't try leaning the crap out of the engine to get it to perform well, because it more than likely won't.

At the very least, see if there's enough material on the stinger of the stock pipe that you can drill it out a bit so it will breath a little better.

Yeah you can still use the old pipe but the polished resinator pipe makes a big difference in performance and tuning. I put a 3.3 on may neighbor's 2.5 truck and ran the stock pipe for a while. I wound up gettting a new pipe and header for my 4908 so I gave the old one to him and the difference was daylight and dark in the way his truck performs now. Much much better.
