My friend broke his pullstart chord on his MGT too. It wasn't even a hard pull and it didn't get stuck or anything. They must be really weak from the factory.

Sorry for not being more specific about the pullstart.
The cord ripped @ mid point when i was trying to start her for my 4th tank i didnt flood the engine either, it pulled easily and my ride usually starts 1st few pulls. i am careful with the pull start, it just ripped on its own, think its just a really weak cord. Should be an ez fix i hope ! never rebuilt a pullstart b4

I use the drill. Love it...Pull starting sucks in my opinion.
I have been racing my mgt with a picco .26 for a while with "no" problems. I replaced the rear shock tower with an aluminum one. Also the front skid was replaced For the number of crashes I've been involved in the mgt is a proven performer in my eyes. PonchoChevy-SS said:Just got a new MGT a few days ago. Am likin' it so far. I want to race tomorrow (Sunday) if the weather cooperates. Did the steering bellcrank, servo-saver upgrade kit, with new Hitec digital steering servo and JR radio gear.
Poncho, I saw you have a .26 in your MGT. Is the drivetrain holding up to that power level? I have a spare Picco .26 (2.7hp rated) hanging around but I don't want to put that engine in if it's just going to start eating up the drivetrain components.
The dual-start option should be standard on all nitro vehicles. Use the drill when you got it, but you have the pull-start for emergencies. That's a very clever and well thought design.
Can anyone recommend a quieter pipe, that will boost low end AND allow the possible substitution of the .26 engine?
