Tonight my dad ordered himself a new MGT 4.6 from tower... It looks sickk and i can't wait to see it!!! Its his first truck and when he saw and Associated SC8 at my lhs he was.. DAAMMN thats BIG!!! so he said " i want a monster truck but BIG!!! " so he wanted a 1/8th and fell in love with this truck!! How are they and for my bash next saturday, wat r parts thats break often on it so we can get extras??? Thanx and we will have pics when we get it, probably on friday!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
 
I have one and mine breaks quite alot as i stupidly bought it second hand. They also need to be tuned and re-tuned alot but I've never broke the same part twice in about 1 year and a half.
 
ok thanx..i heard they take quite a beating but idk about urs cause its second hand..its my dads anyways...his first so ill be tuning and maintaining it a LOT.lol
 
i am interested in buying a monster gt 3.0 or 4.6 which one would you recomend? and do you think that they are good, tough, not easily broken nitro trucks.
 
wel we havent had good luck with the engine and i tried at least50 different tunes and went through at least like 5 tanks of tuning and the car doesn't stay on for at least 10 seconds even though i apply low throttle. the thing idles good then it just freakin dies outta the blue with a little gas
 
the same thing happen happened to my redcat a couple of times but i did something to it and it was all better.
 
I've bashed my MGT 4.6, and I noticed that I can not run the anyway close to the tune of the HSN - my directions was at 6 1/2 turns - would not run more than 20 secs. - turned the HSN to roughly 2 turns and wow this sucker lights up, actually so good I hit a tree and now I'm replacing suspension parts, but oh well... I haven't had to replace anything for just "failure" its always my fault.. good luck
 
maybe so - but if the info helps someone else then its still good to comment - you still read it:)
 
The only thing i have broken on my mgt is an a-arm and the 2 speed pinion gear striped. I beat the crap out of mine
