New Lexus Gs 400 lid I painted

Heres some pics of the new lid I just got done spraying. I'm not really happy with the choices of colors I used (I got a itchy trigger finger and wanted to just use what I had..) But I think it turned out not to shabby.. Whatd ya think? (Btw, masking tape sucks.. I used it to do the main edges and it leaked a few times.. Not to bad though I guess.. O well)

all layed out.. Thats vinyl I had cut and used as masks. The atom symbol is my car club logo)

Top part finished, the squares are shaded with a yellow/gold, but kinda hard to see in the pics

Still havnt put the window trim on, but ya get the drift..lol

GOTTA rep the Rcnt!! The bottom chrome was is painted. I used a sticker I cut reversed as a mask. Worked pretty slick! The one on the window is sticker though.. (Damn masking tape, theres some sweek leak through on the rear also...grrrr... I think I'm gonna cut a L.E.D sticker tailight to cover it though..hehe

Lemme know what ya think. Like I said, I'm not real happy with the colors together, but could be worse.. Just thought Id share my last job with ya. It was all done by a airbrush btw..

Whatd ya mean? I wanted it like that.. Kinda had to get the effect on the pics, but it looks like smoke.. Ill see if I can snap a better pic of it..

Nice job!!! That looks cool, have you ever tried that blue tape by 3m I used to use that when I did tile work and We would use that to tape off the walls when we would do the grouting and it worked really good even on the textured walls and it doesn't leave any residue from the tape when you remove it. I was thinking of using that when I can do a body for my Maxx.

Like I said, you have to see it more clearer. My dig camera aint the best so its hard to get a good shot..

But yeah jess, I used the blue 3m Flex tape on the edges and then the rest was dont with regular. It did do a good job I guess. Next time its definatly liquid mask though I think. But thanks for the props!

It looks good, but I think it would have looked even better if you kept the theme consistent. IE, some chrome tears or designs on the hood, -or- more blocky neuron-thingies on the sides.
